1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. cornmeal
3 T. shortening
1 large egg
3/4 c. milk
1 pkg. beef hot dogs
Wooden sticks, if you can find them

Directions:

Mix batter ingredients together until blended well.

Dip hot dogs into batter to coat, then fry in hot oil until brown. You don't have to use the wooden sticks, but if you can find them they'll add a nice touch!
