I am new to the site and am loving every minute of it. I know how hard it is sometimes to come up with nutritious low cost meals, so I make this one often. It's easy, all you do is just put it all together and let the crock-pot do the work.

2 cans green beans (or 2-3 cups fresh green beans)
1 can cream of mushroom soup
4 cubed steaks
Put green beans on bottom of crock pot. Add cubed steaks on top of beans and top with cream of mushroom soup. Cook on low for 7-9 hours. Serve with mashed potatoes.
I get my green beans either from my own garden or from Aldi's, and I can also get the cream of mushroom soup from Aldi's. Each can costs 39 cents. We raise our own beef so I always have beef on hand, I can feed my family of 6 for about $1.00 a plate.
