Better Budgeting: Open Face Sandwiches

Open Face Sandwiches

Readers' Recipes (featured column)

I have a recipe for open face sandwiches that my 4 year old daughter loves. There are no exact measurements.

Use lean ground beef, ketchup, chopped onion, green pepper, salt and pepper to taste. Mix all together and put on hamburger bun halves, place on baking sheet, cover with foil and lightly spray with non-stick spray.

Bake at 350 degrees until done, about 1/2 hour. I have also sprinkled shredded cheese on top before baking for a variation. My daughter eats these up and says she does not like onions, and does not know she ate them.
