Stained glass light bulb ornaments 1

"Recycled Light Bulb Stained Glass Ornament"

This is an easy and creative way recycle a light bulb making it into a beautiful ornament.

Materials you need:

Any sized burned-out light bulb
Thin ribbon or string
Scissors
Acrylic paints
3D squeeze paint
Paintbrushes

Instructions:

First, cut a piece of ribbon or string and attach it to the light bulb by tying it around the skinniest part. After tying that knot, tie another one several inches above the light bulb so that the ornament can hang.

Now the light bulb can hang like an ornament (it will hang sideways because the knot is at one side). Next, decorate with paint with different shapes and colors (you may need to do more than one layer to make sure that the bulb is completely covered).

When the acrylic dries, outline the shapes with 3D squeeze paint to give it a stained glass look. Let dry to make sure that the 3D paint is dry.

You have just completed a recycled Christmas light bulb ornament. Enjoy! :)
