Bi-Weekly Bill Payments Online

Money Saving Tip of the Month (featured column)
submitted by Cindy Whetzel

I've got a LONG way to go financially, however, I had to start somewhere and this is what has been helping me stay on the straight and narrow.

I have all of my bills set up on-line through my credit union. I get paid bi-weekly so I have my bills set up so that everyone gets paid incrementally. I take the annual amount I pay to each creditor and divide it by 26 pay periods. I then pay each creditor that amount per payday.

This helps me to stay on track and know exactly what is coming in and what is going out every 2 weeks.

It also helps me with paying extra on my bills and I find that I have more money left over when I budget this way.
