Free Ebooks: Where to Find Them

Money Saving Tip of the Month (featured column)
submitted by Sara Matson

I received a Kindle ereader for my birthday several years ago, but rarely used it because I didn’t want to spend money buying ebooks for it.

Now that my library offers ebook borrowing for the Kindle (as well as other devices), I often take advantage of that. But I also add to my book collection by visiting the Kindle store on Amazon.

They post a daily list called "Top 100 Free Books", many of which are free for only a few days before they go back to the regular price.

I visit every week or so and download several free ebooks. That way, I always have a supply of books ready to read!

Editor's Note: Sometimes there are a few items on Amazon's Free Kindle Books list that have a small cost option. However, most of the books really are completely FREE!
