Halloween Decorations: Treasure from Trash

Submitted by Kay Powers of Virginia

Treasure from trash

My granddaughter wanted to put up our Halloween decorations so I agreed to get them out. When I went into the garage to get the box of decorations I noticed an old campaign yard sign that someone had stuck in there rather than throwing it away. You know the kind, the square metal frame with the plastic cover that slips down over the frame.

I picked it up to throw it away but as I did I noticed that the inside of the plastic was solid black. I took the plastic sign off of the frame, turned it inside out so the black plastic showed and put it back on the frame.

I then glued on a great felt skeleton head I had purchased at The Dollar Store. For the big price of $1.

Our treasure made a great addition to our Halloween decorations.
