Not a wholesale club but a loyalty club!

Many stores and manufactures have loyalty clubs of different kinds. For instance, a manufacturer may send you email specials or coupons for signing up on their website. I have received coupons for fresh produce and even fresh chicken and pork by joining an online email club. I also get texts for cents off from the gas station I use.

In addition to manufacturers, many stores also have loyalty clubs. This includes privately owned stores. Just sign up for their email club and they will send you exclusive specials. I also suggest asking about loyalty clubs at the big chains and gas stations too.

I was at a discount shoe retailer this past fall with my son. I quickly checked if the retailer had any loyalty specials for joining their club. Turns out they had a special of 20% OFF everything, no exclusions. I was able to not only buy his gym shoes but a pair of church shoes that were on clearance. The clerk also showed me some socks on sale that I could use the discount on, they were less expensive than the big box retailer. It doesn't hurt to ask.

The nice thing about these programs is that most of them are free. You just need to give them your email and/or phone number. The phone number is sometimes needed so they can look you up by your phone number at the register.

Many of the stores will also honor their exclusive member coupons just by showing them the coupon on your smartphone.

It is amazing how the savings add up!
