The Reason Trees Lose Their Leaves

Submitted by Ann Ott of Omaha, Nebraska

The reason trees lose their leaves

Jumping into piles of leaves is my daughter's favorite part of fall!

She thinks that is why trees lose their leaves, so we can jump in them!

I even found a child sized rake at a garage sale for $.50 and she will go out and rake up piles on her own to jump in. She played in the leaves for hours that day.

It is amazing that something we think of as a chore, raking leaves, can be the most fun of fall!
