Knitting basket ornaments 1

"Christmas Knitting"

This delightful mini knitting basket makes a colorful addition to the tree for anyone who enjoys making things by hand. I made several for family members and friends who love to knit. And they are so simple and easy to make.

Items needed:

Small mini basket (I got these in the wedding reception section at AC Moore)
Cotton balls
Embroidery floss remnants, in assorted colors
Two ball headed pins
Colorful ribbon remnants
Craft glue or hot glue gun

Directions:

Glue a piece of ribbon around the rim of the basket and add a small bow. Stuff the bottom of the basket with cotton balls and glue into place. Roll embroidery floss into small balls, enough to fill top of basket. Glue balls in place. Stick the pins into one of the balls to represent the knitting needles. Use another ribbon piece for hanging.
