Homemade Christmas Ornaments: Pinecones

Glitter pinecone ornaments 1

"Glitter Pine Cone Ornament"

I love this ornament because it's cheap, we had everything on hand, and it's just too cute. Ok, AND because it has glitter - everyone loves glitter!

Small Pine Cone
Yarn, string or ribbon
Fake holly flower leaves just any kind of fake leaves
Metallic spray paint (we used silver & gold)
Glitter
Hot glue & gun
Paint pen (optional)

Spray the pine cone with metallic spray paint and cover in glitter. We used silver paint & white glitter to look like snow! Hot glue the ribbon to the top and hot glue a leaf on top of it. We wrote the kid's names on the leaf and the year on the ribbon and gave them as gifts to all of their teachers and to our family.

This one was a little messy with the paint and glitter, but that's half the fun!
