Homemade Christmas Ornaments: Buttons

Submitted by Amy Carter of Georgia

Button candy canes

"Button Candy Cane"

This is a neat ornament to make because you never have to worry about how old the candy canes are on the tree! My 13 year old daughter made this one.

Materials:

10 white buttons
5 red buttons
White craft foam
Glue

Directions:

Glue the buttons in the following order onto white craft foam: 1 white, 1 red, 2 white, 1 red, 2 white, 1 red, 2 white, 1 red, 2 white, 1 red, and 1 white. Place them in the shape of a candy cane. Once they are dry, cut the foam out along the edges of the buttons.
