Homemade Christmas Ornaments: Paper Stars 2

Submitted by Jenny Hudman of New York

"Lacy Paper Star Ornament"

I made a lacy paper star ornament. It's special because it's handmade and I
used some old scrapbooking supplies that I haven't used in a while.

Supplies needed:

Double-sided paper
Strong adhesive (double-sided tape works best)
Exacto knife
Cord/ribbon
Glitter

Directions:

Use the instructions from our first paper star ornament. Adhere the sides according to the pattern. Add ribbon/cord to top of star. Add jewels to the star.

Then I added homemade shimmer mist to the star. Shimmer mist can be expensive in craft stores but here's the directions to make your own:

Using 1 small spray bottle add 1/4 teaspoon of Pearl Ex mica powder (I chose silver) to the bottle and then fill with rubbing alcohol shake & spray I know it smells but the alcohol dries so fast & the powder needs something to cling to when it gets sprayed. Super easy & adds a nice glimmer to any paper project.

Project supplies used for this paper star:

Basic Grey paper
Heidi Swapp Jewels
Pearl Ex powder (from Stampin' Up or at craft stores)
Glue Dots and Stampin Up silver cord
Dazzling Diamonds glitter
