Homemade Christmas Ornaments: Snow Bird Craft

Submitted by Michele of Astoria, Oregon

Snow bird craft ornaments

"Snow Bird"

This is a fun and easy ornament anyone can make.

All you will need is: a small fake bird (found in craft stores and floral shops), glue, glitter, small paint brush for applying the glue.

Decide which parts of the bird you would like to make sparkle.  I chose the crown and wings on my little cutie.  You can glitter as much or as little as you like.  Simply brush the glue on the areas to be glittered and then sprinkle the glitter on the glue.  It's best to do this over a container or bowl to catch your excess glitter for re-use.  Let dry and you're ready to put your sparkly little fellow on your tree.  The birds I have chosen have little clips fastened to their tummies that I simply clip onto the tree branches.  If your bird doesn't, you can simply tuck him into the branches or fasten a clip or wire to him with glue.

These are so quick and easy but look so magical on the tree.  Enjoy!
