This may not really be a decluttering tip as such, but the flylady.net website has a great plan for implementing daily routines that result in a lot of decluttering. I'm just beginning but this is a good system for taming the chaos or just streamlining busy lives.
For newbies, be sure to check out the Getting Started page first for a good introduction to the Fly Lady system and philosophy. If you get off track, don't give up! Just jump back in! Think progress, not perfection.
Sign up for the daily emails. These helpful prompts remind you of the daily routine and special zone project. There is a "Fly Lady lite" email option that consolidates the 4-5 daily e-mails into one, which certainly reduces inbox clutter!
