Department Store Credit Cards

Money Saving Tip of the Month (featured column)

Paying Your Bill

If you have department store credit cards, a lot of stores allow you to pay your bill in the store to save on stamps. They do this so you will come back in the store and buy something after you pay your bill.

I now mail in all of my credit card payments because I used to pay them in the store and found myself charging more on them before I walked out.

The cost of a postage stamp is a lot cheaper than a new shirt or pair of shoes!

You can also set up your account to pay online, just make sure that you still receive your paper statements so that you don't forget to make the payment all together. Or, if you do have trouble remembering to pay the bill, you can set up monthly automatic payments to be paid directly from your bank account.
