Thrift Stores Buy and Sell Clothing

Money Saving Tip of the Month (featured column)

I love shopping at my local thrift stores!

There are two clothing thrift shops that I go to. One is for kids and the other is for grown ups.

I always buy my clothes from there which are always around 5 dollars for name brand clothes. Yes, you read that right! GAP, Old Navy, Banana Republic, Polo, etc.

I set it up to go to each one at least once a month and every time I go, I take clothes that no longer fit well, or clothes that I don't wear, with me because they buy used clothing. You can pick less money for cash, or more for in store credit. I always pick in store credit.

So, sometimes I am just getting clothes for free that I like, and also cleaning out my closets at the same time!
