Homemade Christmas Ornaments: Christmas Cards

Submitted by Jolynne Hudnell of Ohio

Christmas card ornaments 1

"Kid's Delight Christmas Card Ornament"

This ornament is very inexpensive to make (very budget-minded!) and it is easy for the kids to do and have fun with

Supplies Needed:

4 Christmas cards
White glue
Ribbon

Tools Needed:

Cup
Pen
Scissors

Directions:

Christmas card ornaments 2

Christmas card ornaments 3

Trace cup over desired part of Christmas card; cut out.

Fold circle in half.

Glue 1/2 of circle A to 1/2 of circle B; repeat with circles C & D.

Glue ribbon down 1/2 of ornament, leaving some hanging at bottom; fold over top of ribbon and glue top to same 1/2 of ornament to create a loop.

Glue two halves of ornament together.

Run glue along one sealed edge of ornament; roll through glitter; repeat with each sealed edge.

Tips:

Allowing ornament to dry between steps will make it easier to work with.

Use last year's cards, extras from current year or buy an assorted cheap value pack at store.

Supplies are easy to find and you may already have lots of these at home.
