Homemade Christmas Ornaments: Web Star

Submitted by Kim Caple of Massachusetts

"Sparkling Web Star"

This ornament is a great way to use up an array or mixed beads while creating a beautiful, sparkling decoration for your Christmas Tree or window ledge. Use any strong metal shape to begin your beaded web.

I purchased this gold star at my local arts and crafts store for less than a dollar. Using craft, beading, or even hardware store wire, continue wrapping around the shape and adding beads until you have an even amount of wire and beads around the entire shape.

To tighten the wire or "hold" beads in place, use a pair of round-nosed pliers to grip the wire and twist it 90 degrees. Repeat this as needed to create your Web Star.
