Calendar and Photo Recycling

Money Saving Tip of the Month (featured column)

Recycle old calendars and photos

Ever wonder what to do with all those free calendars, with all those beautiful photos?  I receive more than one paper calendar a year from various charitable organizations. I often end up recycling them if cannot find a friend or family member who doesn't already have one.

This past year, I noticed several of the calendars were made with great quality, heavy duty, paper with lots of gorgeous photos. I decided to tear apart the calendars and use the pictures for gift wrapping small presents.

I even taped together several pictures and used them for a larger sized gift.

The presents were colorful and the recipients of the gifts asked where I got the great wrapping paper from.

This is just another way to reuse, recycle, and save money!
