Homemade Christmas Ornaments: Pasta Angels

Submitted by Linda High of California

Pasta angel ornaments 1

"Pasta Angel"

Of all the angels in my collection, this is my favorite.  Perhaps it is because it is all made from food, or the fact that each one I make is just a little bit different, like all of us.

Materials:

Rigatoni (body)
Small Elbow Wagon Wheel (collar)
Sea Shell (head)
Salad (hair)
Farfalle (wings)
Pipe Cleaner (halo)
Gold Glitter
Gold string
Spray Paint, white
Acrylic Paints
Paintbrush
Hot Glue Gun

Instructions:

Spray paint the one side of noodles inside a large box. When one side is dry, roll them over and spray paint the other side. When spraying the wings, sprinkle gold glitter on each side.

Hot glue the body together, letting each section dry before applying next body part.

Add a dollop of hot glue at back of head and attach halo. Paint on face. Thread some gold string through hair so angel can hang from the Christmas tree.
