Homemade Christmas Ornaments: Cotton Ball Angel

Submitted by P.M.

Cotton Ball Angel Ornaments

"Cotton Ball Angel"

We have cotton all around our home. I absolutely love the view. In September and October the fields look like they are covered in snow. I saw this angel at a craft show over 10 years ago and have been making them for friends ever since. I change the color of the hair depending on whom I make the angel for. I have also made these with just plain wooden balls with no face and they are just as cute.

Materials:

Cotton burrs
1/2 or 3/4 wooden doll heads
Curly craft doll hair
Cotton balls
Small tinsel for halo
Small ribbon for hanging
Hot glue gun

Directions:

Hot glue new cotton balls in the burr to replace the cotton. (The cotton balls are more durable and are whiter than the original cotton.)

Hot glue wings on from broken burrs.

Hot glue the head to the stem.

Hot glue hair on top of head.

Make a small halo with the tinsel and attach to top of head with hot glue also put small piece of tinsel around neck to cover where the head connects.

Hot glue a small ribbon behind wings to hang ornament.
